I started Bolsterstone Quilters in September 2012 by putting an advert in the local paper asking anyone interested to come to a meeting at the village hall. The response was brilliant with over 25 people turning up. I asked for committee members to join me and at the end of the meeting Bolsterstone Quilters was up and running.
I was Chair from the beginning and worked with an amazing committee, Liz Brooks, Liz Hewett, Sue Rodgers and Trish Hill who work so hard to organise a full diary of activities, speakers and workshops for the members - we now have 40 in total.
We are proud of how far the group has come and what we have achieved in 5 years.
I came off the committee in December 2017 as I felt I needed a break and wanted to give someone else an opportunity to bring their own identity to the role.
